Champ Dima by Isamo Kubo

The new Junior World Champion in PSL is Russian SG Pro Team rookie Dimitry "Dima" Bazanov from Kamtschatka! He took the gold in a very convincing way in the NZL World Championships and makes us proud. Congratulations also to the Russian coach, former SG team rider Denis Salagaev! Good job, Denis!

The third place in ladies' PSL competition goes to young Russian SG rider Ekaterina Khatomchenkova. Cheers! She completes the range with the third Bronze medal! Congratulations.

Ladies:

Bei der Junioren WM in Neuseeland fuhr heute Ina Meschik fulminant zur Bronzemedaille. Gratuliere! Die Ina ist natürlich super gefahren, hat aber leider einen Frühstart gehabt und ist deshalb disqualifiziert worden im Halbfinale...
Es siegte Annamarie Chundak aus der Ukraine vor Julie Zogg, CH. Trotzdem große Freude im Österreichischen Lager! Morgen gehts auf ein Neues!

Men:
Stefan Baumeister sorgte fuer die zweite SG Bronzemedaille heute. Er hat eines von Petzis Boards - zum erstenmal auf SG und gleich eine Medaille! cool...

Es siegte Edwin Coratti, ITA, vor Konstantin Shipilov, RUS und Stefan Baumeister, GER. Herzliche Gratulation!

At the FIS World Cup Season's Finals in Spanish La Molina SG-PROTEAM-Rider Pat Holland earned with a Third Place his first World Cup Podium in his career.

With a strong performance throughout the race he jumped on the podium behind SBX World Cup winner Pierre Vaultier/FRA and Alex Pullin/AUS.

Congratulations from all the SG crew! We are very happy for you, Pat!

That is a great way to finish the season, now Pat can enjoy his summer with fly-fishing, one of his biggest hobbies.

New Face on the Winner Podium

SGsnowboards riders Aaron March/ITA, Benjamin Karl/AUT and Roland Fischnaller/ITA completed a Podium Sweep at the FIS WorldCup PGS in Moscow. And there is a new face on the Winner's Wall: Aaron March took his first World Cup victory facing thousands of cheering spectators right in the capital of Russia. Congratulations and enjoy the celebrating in Moscows nightlife!

Olympic Medals on SGsnowboards

At the Olympic PGS at Vancouver 2010 the SGriders Benjamin Karl and Marion Kreiner won the Silver and Bronze Medals - Congratulations!

Both did a great job and showed very strong riding in worst imaginable weather conditions.

The Gold went to Jasey Jay Anderson and Nicolien Sauerbreij, Mathieu Bozzetto got Bronze and Ekaterina Iljuhina the Silver Medal.

Und wieder steht sie als Drittplazierte des SBX in Sunday River, USA, auf dem Podium und ist auch weiterhin Dritte im Gesamtweltcup.

Mellie Francon erfolgreich!

Die gute körperliche und mentale Vorbeitung von Mellie Francon zeigte Wirkung: Beim SBX in Stoneham ist sie wieder dort, wo sie hingehört - auf dem Podium!

Nach der 2.besten Qualizeit passiert sie mühelos Viertel- und Semifinale, und bleibt im großen Finale nur knapp hinter Lindsey Jacobellis, USA. Bravo La Mellie und herzlichen Glückwunsch!

Hi everybody, I just ended up 5 at the Vancouver World Cup, just behind Lindsay Jacobelis USA, Olivia Nobs SUI, Helen Olafsson NOR and Maelle Ricker CAN. Conditions, course and weather were perfect, everything was with us ;o). I had a big mistake in semi final, it cost me the Big Final :-( But physically, mentally and all my material were just on top, it was very close to be really perfect ;o). Now I stay calm and keep my confindence. Every race is an experience and every race makes me grow. I know that it's coming! Tomorow morning I m flying to Quebec where the next world cup will take place in Stoneham next Thursday.

4 Medaillen - 3 Nationen!
Die Racer aus der SG Pro Team Schmiede holen Gold und Bronze

Bei der Snowboard WM in Gangwon/Südkorea strahlten am Dienstag und Mittwoch zwei Österreicher vom obersten Podium: Marion Kreiner holte die Goldene im Parallel-GS, Benjamin Karl legte einen Tag später nach und sicherte sich den WM Titel im Parallel-Slalom. Beide sind im SG Pro Team groß geworden und haben ihre großartigen Erfolge auf den SG Snowboards by Sigi Grabner eingefahren. Aber das war noch nicht alles!

Darren Ratcliffe, USA and Ariane Lavigne, CAN took the victories in the PSL at Steamboat, CO, at the North America Cup.

What else?
After that, Ariane finished also second in the PGS, and Darren climbed the podium once again on third place in PGS!

What a day at the Worldcup PSL in Arosa! The first men's podium sweep for the SG PRO TEAM riders! Wow boyz, a big job!

Sigi Grabner comes back on top after a convincing race: He wins every run and steps up the podium (his favorite spot!). Together with him: Roland "Fish" Fischnaller, ITA, on second, and Zan "Jean" Kosir from Slovenija on third place! Bella Laboeck, GER, comes out third in the ladies' event.

So sieht ein Sieger aus!

Mit einem Traumlauf -

alle 10 Läufe souverän gewonnen - holt sich Benji heute in Stoneham seinen 2. Weltcupsieg! UND er holt sich das Orange Trikot - das Gelbe auch natürlich! - des Gesamtweltcupführenden!

Was soll man mehr dazu sagen als: Supersupersuper!!! Mit Chris Klug (USA), Simon Schoch (SUI) und Jasey Jay Anderson (CAN) hatte er aber zuerst einige Kaliber vor sich, bevor er im Finale auf Andy Prommegger (AUT) traf. Doch an diesem tag war Benjamin unschlagbar! harte Piste, ein Schneesturm vorhergesagt und im Anzug - genau das Wetter für einen Champion!
