Austria's SGsnowboards Ladies Marion Kreiner and the "Rookie Of The Year" Ina Meschik carved up on the Podium at the second Telluride WorldCup PGS on Thursday 17th of December.
Marion showed in which good shape she is in this Olympic Season winning the qualifiers by far and only had to let Alena Zavarzina pass in the big finals.
Big show of Ina Meschik reaching her first WorldCup podium at Telluride! Being Second after the qualifiers she was literally flying onto the podium for Third with her radical riding style. A new face on the podium which we will certainly see there more often.
Sigi rode really strong in the PGS finals on Thursday but a broken binding crashed his plans to continue the race. He suffered severe compression on his right ankle and has now to walk on crotches. He will be off-snow for several weeks doing therapy on his swollen foot. We hope he will be back on track very soon!
Austrian PGS World Champion Marion Kreiner showed up in great shape at the Telluride races. She completed the first competition on Tuesday on the 6th place and reached a strong 2nd place on Thursday where she had won the qualifiers by far!
German SG rider Patrick Bussler had a good racing week at the Telluride PGSs. Completing the first race on 8th place he was extremely fast in the second competition and ended up on 5th place. Good Job!
Ina Meschik's radical riding style is not only fast, but elated the people watching the race. Winning the EuropaCup last season, this is her first WorldCup winter while she still has to go to school when there is a race-free week. Congratulations to the first WorldCup Podium! This girl has some great future ahead of her. Good Luck and carve on!
Vic Wild is back on tour again after having a 1-year-break recovering from a bad ankle-injury and several operations on his foot. He returns with his well-known radical carving style and shows a decent result at Telluride with a 20th place on the second race-day.
Another "Come-Backer" is Zan Kosir: his first WorldCup appearance after his Back-surgery from last winter. He is in good shape, showed good qualifier-runs at Telluride and he is looking forward racing at Kreischberg - Good Luck - Srecno!
